Job Description

Blytheville Primary School is seeking applicants for a Paraprofessional Interventionist position.

 

Job Description:
The paraprofessional interventionist's primary purpose is to improve academic achievement and behavior of all students.  The interventionist must maintain updated files related to student support for each student.  Data will be collected and analyzed to determine interventions that will increase student growth.  Attend professional development opportunities that promote improved instructional strategies and support research-based resource material needed to implement the intervention program successfully.  The paraprofessional must also perform any other duties as assign by the building principal.

Qualifications:Must have 60 hours from an accredited college or university, Associate degree, or a passing score on the Paraprofessional Praxis Assessment.Ability to promote and maintain positive relationships with students and coworkersProficient in technology skills or the ability to quickly learn those skillsStrong work ethic
Great attendanceWilling to collaborate with others to identify student needs and set goals
Knowledge of science-based reading instruction or willing to be trained in this area
Knowledge and understanding of dyslexia
Patience with struggling learners
keep in confidence all personal, student or personnel records and information
