Job Description

Bachelor’s degree preferred in related field and/or professional experience.

    Job Requirements

    • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

      1. Create and maintain professional relationships with students.
      2. Facilitate project-based classroom as “lead learner.”
      3. Guide students on professional projects.
      4. Establish a professional business environment for the students.
      5. Collaborate with the post secondary institutions to meet requirements for students to earn concurrent credit.
      6. Communicate with construction experts to establish mentorships and internships for students.
      7. Speak to groups about the EXCEL Program.
      8. Engage with professional organizations that promote construction careers.
      9. Follow the schools policies and procedures for grading.
      10. Maintain and sustain a strong local advisory group.
      11. Recruit students for the construction professions program.
      12. Attend required summer professional provided by the CAPS Network.
      13. Job performance will be evaluated using the Teacher Excellence and Support System adopted by the Arkansas Department of Education and Little Rock School District:
      a. Planning and Preparation
      b. Classroom Environment
      c. Instruction
      d. Professional Responsibilities

      NOTE: Performs other related essential and/or secondary duties as assigned.
    • At least 5 years of relevant experience preferred
    • Associate degree preferred
    • Citizenship, residency or work VISA in United States required
