DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (These are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work performed. This job description may include, but is not limited to, the following tasks:
Oversees the effective implementation of the School Improvement Plan Formulates and executes the effective implementation of the School Improvement Plan. Monitors adherence to the established accountability plan for ensuring academic achievement and continuous school improvement. Facilitates ongoing data analysis, monitors, coordinates, and oversees the implementation of formative and summative assessments, and ensures that results are used to guide effective instructional planning and delivery. Collaborates with district and building leadership, teachers, and other stakeholders to ensure that a school leadership team is fully operational and functions as a professional learning community. Conducts regular needs assessments and collaborates with district and building leadership, teachers and staff, as well as other stakeholders to ensure that needs are identified and addressed through a cycle of continuous improvement. Serves on the district leadership team to analyze feeder school student achievement, initiates lines of communication and planning with feeder schools and develops early warning systems and transition programs for students.
Develops and Implements Instructional and Support Strategies Collaborates with teachers to effectively adjust instructional strategies, classroom management and assessment techniques to ensure student achievement. Collaborates with district and building leadership, teachers and staff to ensure consistent monitoring and modeling of instruction with the provision of timely, performance-based feedback to teachers. Works with the principal and other staff to ensure the implementation of comprehensive, job-embedded professional learning activities for staff, focused on identified and documented needs for improving teaching and learning.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Strong knowledge of instructional classroom strategies, student academic assessment, remediation activities/strategies, and data use, analysis, interpretation and display; strong communication, organizational, and writing skills; ability to motivate, encourage, challenge; demonstrate initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; leadership qualities to provide professional development; knowledge of the school improvement process; knowledge of Arkansas Assessment System and its programs, protocols, and procedures; technological proficiency and experience using spreadsheets and database systems.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Required Valid teaching certificate and at least three years of teaching experience Knowledge of learning processes, research-based best practices, change theory, curriculum implementation, assessment, instructional strategies Demonstrated ability to raise student achievement and improve underperforming student achievement through a results-oriented approach driven by data Demonstrated knowledge of state and federal guidelines including, but not limited to, ESSA, ACT Aspire, and Renaissance STAR Reading & Math assessments Demonstrated ability to work with others, collaborate to solve problems, and build high performing teams
Master degree preferred
Citizenship, residency or work VISA in United States required
