Position Title: Paraprofessional
Primary Function: Perform duties related to instruction and supervision
Illustration of responsibilities and key job duties:
Supervise students in a variety of settings, based on the direction of the building administrator.
Provide instructional assistance to students, based on the direction of the building administrator.
Communicate with the building administrator on issues related to supervision or instructional assistance.
Maintain complete confidentiality in regard to students and faculty of Bauxite Public Schools.
The paraprofessional may be assigned to duties at the discretion of the building principals in order to ensure that the safety and security of all students is maintained and educational services are being provided as required.
The paraprofessional will respond directly to the building administrators for the building in which they are assigned.
Position Holder Qualifications:
All paraprofessionals must be Highly Qualified as determined by the Arkansas Department of Education. Holding a CDL to drive a bus as needed is strongly encouraged, and depending on district needs may be a requirement.
