Lunch Aide, Early Morning , Recess Aide and Crossing Guard: 

 

Job Summary

 

Lunch Aide/Recess Aide: 

  • Supervises students in the cafeteria during meals
  • Maintain regular attendance
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Circulates among the tables during the mealtime so as to be available to children who need help or resolve problems that arise.
  • Supervise students and maintain a cooperative atmosphere during recess
  • Circulate among students and attempt to resolve minor problems as they arise.
  • Inform building administration immediately of any serous disciplinary problems.

Early Morning Aide and Crossing Guard

  • Direct or escort pedestrians across streets, stopping traffic as necessary.
  • Guide or control vehicular or pedestrian traffic at such places as street.
  • Monitor traffic flow to locate safe gaps through which pedestrians can cross streets.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking.
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing. 
  • Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
  • Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching.
  • Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights, up to 50 pounds

DUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate.
